Quick Connect Multi-Platform Implement System
What truly sets Work Marine apart is our patent-pending Quick Connect Multi-Platform Implement System. This modular approach allows operators to rapidly switch out attachments, enabling a single barge to perform multiple roles throughout a project.
Attachment options include:
- Hydraulic pile drivers (vibratory and impact) for marine construction
- Man baskets for safe and precise bridge inspections or elevated work
- Hydraulic buckets, clamshells, and grapplers for dredging and debris removal
- Forks, augers, winches, and shears for transporting, cutting, and drilling
This system reduces downtime between tasks and eliminates the need for multiple vessels or equipment rentals, saving time, labor, and cost.
Unrivaled Propulsion and Engine Performance
Powering the barge is a Cummins QSB6.7 inboard/outboard diesel engine—375 horsepower with 657 lb-ft of torque, turbocharged and seawater aftercooled for optimal marine performance. It’s built to meet both EPA Tier 3 and IMO Tier II emissions standards, providing the perfect balance of strength and sustainability.
Paired with a Konrad 680B commercial sterndrive, a ZF 301-1C marine transmission, and hydraulic steering and trim, the propulsion system is engineered for precision maneuverability, even in challenging water conditions. With a 125-gallon diesel tank, you get extended runtime without constant refueling.
Ventilation is managed by a Delta T engine room ventilation system, including louvers and mist extractors that ensure performance and safety in all conditions.
Hands-On Operation for Safer, Smarter Jobsites
One of the standout features of the Work Marine barge is its National Crane 437B, a 10-ton hydraulic crane with a 37’ fully telescoping boom. What makes this crane truly operator-focused is the belly box control system, allowing the crane operator to work outside of the cab.
This wireless remote control system enables operators to walk the deck, inspect the load, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with the team—improving visibility, communication, and safety. No more relying on guesswork or relayed commands—the operator is fully in the action, in real time.
With an operating angle of -10° to 80°, and precision control over lifts and movements, this crane system is ideal for:
- Lifting heavy materials like pipe, rebar, or concrete structures
- Maneuvering tools into tight or elevated spaces
- Supporting inspection platforms and man baskets
- Removing debris from water or elevated areas
Comfort, Compliance, and Crew Support
Work Marine doesn’t just build tough machines—we build platforms where your crew can operate comfortably and effectively, even during extended missions. Standard features include:
- Enclosed wheelhouse with full operational controls
- Onboard composting bathroom for remote job sites
- Four spud tubes and two 20’ spud poles for secure anchoring
- Hydraulic PTO hookup for powering attachments
- Designed to meet USCG Subchapter I regulations
The design allows your crew to stay on the water longer, with fewer interruptions and greater safety—all while adhering to marine compliance standards.
